Oxy Awards 2 Drilling Contracts to Abraj

Abraj Energy Services has been awarded two (2) Drilling Contracts by Occidental of Oman. Each contract is for a fixed term of 3 years with option for 2 extensions of one year each.

Abraj is currently building latest technology, high capacity and fast-moving Rigs as part of its growth plans. Two (2) 1500 HP Rigs of this kind will be deployed for the Oxy projects in Safah Field and Wadi Latham.

The first rig (Abraj Rig 205) is due to commence operations by 1st April 2011 and the second rig (Abraj Rig 206) by 1st May 2011.
