IPM Contract Awarded to Abraj

Oman Oil Company Exploration and Production (OOCEP), Operator of Block 60 – Abu Tubul Field awarded IPM contract to Abraj. The contract covers a 3-Well Drilling Program.

Abraj Rig 301 (2000 HP SCR Rig) commenced drilling operations of the First Well (ABB-9) on 29th November 2010 and successfully completed operations on 28th January 2011 (2 days ahead of schedule). The Rig is currently drilling the Second Well (ABB-10).

Third Party Services such as Cementing, Coring, Directional Drilling, Mud Logging, etc. are managed by Abraj Well Engineering Department with pass-through contracts in place.
